Atlanta Prenatal Yoga-FAQ's
Is yoga safe during pregnancy?
Absolutely! In fact yoga is safe and extremely beneficial during all trimesters and even during labor. However, there may be certain contraindications and modifications that have to be made for your specific pregnancy needs. All prenatal yoga classes are held with the understanding that you have personally considered and discussed any and all medical concerns with your care provider.
Do I need permission/written clearance from a medical provider to participate?
Clearance yes... however a written note is optional, unless you are considered high risk or are experiencing any conditions that would make prenatal yoga unsafe, then a written note is required. I do require a signed liability waiver for all women I work with. All classes are always taken with the understanding that you have discussed and received clearance from your care provider. Please discuss ANY fitness program with your care provider, in case there are any contraindications, modifications, limitations, or other areas of concern.
